| Singing drummer The drummer in my band also happens to be the main vocalist. we've been looking for a mic upgrade (don't know what he uses now), but we specifically want one that will do the best job picking up him and not the drums. I've read about the shure sm58 and sm58a beta. are either of these good choices? by the way, he probably wouldn't use a headset just because of breathing noises and we sometimes talk/yell at each other onstage. I'm open to any suggestions, even a headset as long as we can get rid of the breathing aspect. our budget is around $200 or so. thanks! |

| Audio technia has great headsets that give you great voice,no drums,,,only drawback,,,no on off switch...check out "countryman" headsets...i used their 1st protype from 1988 thru june of this year & da wiring finally broke,,,,!!!ithese mics are fabulous and have a very simple on/off turn switch,,,and you can noisegate them for conversation sake....i got mine from e.a.r. Music in phx az...i believe countryman is made in kansas city,,,i see them advertised in "sweetwater music" they are abit pricy but worth it!!! Lemme know if i can be of any assistance...i am also a lead & harmony singing drummer wif over 35 yrs of pro & touring experience wif some of da biggest names in da biz...good luck...
